2/27/18 Fishing Report

February fishing has been quite unpredictable and we’ve had ups and downs as it relates to the bite. This seems to be the same conversation many are having on our side of the lake. But, as the weather stabilizes, we are seeing late mornings and early afternoon hours picking up. The hot colors are gold, hot pink and green. Electronic are extremely helpful. One tip from our guides is to stay close to the bottom, working your lure as much as possible. If your finder marks something up higher, lift the line up to check it out, as a few nicer walleye have been caught near 10 ft. Our houses are seeing the most success at 24-32 ft. Pictured is Hugh West with a 25″ walleye he caught and released 2/27.
*** Just a friendly reminder that fishing licenses expire February 28th — don’t forget to renew them for the 2018-19 season.
