2/22/16 Fishing Report

The wind and warmer temperatures moved the ice and created a crack that runs from Twin Rocks to behind Gull Rock, then towards Warroad. We moved all of our houses off 12 Mile Reef for the time being. Fishing hasn’t been effected and the bite is still fair to good. However, it’s noticeably better at Cooker’s Reef. We are currently fishing Mark’s Reef, Cooker’s Reef and Gull Rock Reef. We also have some houses towards Long Point islands.

The sleeper houses are in the Cooker’s Reef area and we’ve had good reports from those.
Cody Kuznia, a sleeper house group from the Big Lake area, limited out the past 2 days. They had 3-4 pike that ranged in size from 20-25″. They also had mostly saugers with the largest around 14.5″. Their largest walleye was 15.5″. The group of three are all going home with limits. Their tackle of choice was the pink and gold rattling clam.
Best of luck out there and be safe!
