2/7/16 Fishing Report

The morning bite has been best this past week, putting fish in the bucket well until 11am. Then things slow down until about 4pm when the bite picks up again.
Varied colors such as pink, gold and red are always good tackle options. The Todd Hegge group from Thompson, ND, found that chartreuse was their color of choice, catching most of their fish on this greenish/yellow color.
As always, electronics are very useful. All kinds of fish are being marked, they just are stubborn and not biting constantly.
The Hegge group caught nice saugers, some at 16″, along with walleye and a large northern. The group of six checked out on Saturday with five bags of fillets going home.
We’re  hoping that the weather front predicted to come in this weekend will have a beneficial impact on the bite. Best of luck out there!
