1/20/23 Fishing Report
Here’s your latest fishing report from Captain Charlie McCarthy on beautiful Lake of the Woods.
Fishing is starting to pick up now that we’re in our track vehicles and fishing our core areas. We have houses set anywhere from 24-30 ft. of water. Jigging and dead stick is about 50/50 with dead stick working the best. If you’re using the dead stick, try a plain red hook set about 4-6 inches off the bottom. For jigging, try using gold, pink, red, fire tiger or Wonder Bread colors. Some jigs I suggest are a Tingler Spoon or Buck-Shot Rattle Spoon. Good luck!
Chad McNiesh caught a 26” northern in the Tullibee sleeper house on a 12” ice rod.
Ethan McNiesh caught and released a 24″ walleye this week in the Tullibee sleeper fish house.
