We are fishing at all the major reefs, with the exception of Archie’s. The ice is extremely rough, making it difficult to run our equipment there. Guests have reported a mixed bite with morning being slightly better. Electronics are extremely useful right now. Dead sticks weren’t particularly active this week, and many groups said the key is to actively jig. Hot colors have been gold, red and anything glow. We are mostly fishing between 27-30′ of water. The Eberspacher group said the big fish were belly to the bottom for them. Emily Eberspacher out-fished her dad with her favorite black lure and said the key for her was to keep her Buck Shot Rattle about two feet from the bottom, actively jigging.
