1/27/25 Fishing Report
Here’s our latest fishing report from Captain Cole Buley on beautiful Lake of the Woods!
We’re finally back to all of our usual fishing areas, and the bite has been very consistent. We are seeing a good average of 20-24 inches of ice everywhere, and even more in other areas. That being said, we’ve been getting more track rigs on the lake making transportation a lot faster and allowing guides to reach better fishing grounds. Rocky Point guide, Tony, says the sleeper fish houses have been doing well in 27-30 feet of water. Day houses have been seeing good action between 27-34 feet of water. Hot lures helping guests attract fish have been Dirty Bomb water activated flashers, pinks, golds, and Wonderbread colors. But, it’s important to have a variety of lure options and experiment with different colors each day. Electronics make it much easier to monitor how the fish are responding to each color and lure. I look forward to seeing you and some tight lines. ~ Captain Cole
