12/21/21 Fishing Report

Here’s the first ice fishing report of the 2021-22 season from Captain Cole Buley at Arnesen’s Rocky Point on Lake of the Woods!

The bite has been good since we started the season last week. We are fishing around Gull Rock and Twin Islands, but hope to expand our fishing area in the coming week. We’re seeing guests come in with a nice mixed bag of walleye, sauger, eelpout, perch and pike. Red and pink lures are working well, but gold and silver are always a good option, too. The ice is starting to form up and our houses are in areas with around 12 inches. Ice conditions vary around our end of the lake so please travel with caution if you are fishing on your own.
