3/13/26 Fishing Report

Here’s our latest fishing report from Captain Tim “Wingnut” Hill on beautiful Lake of the Woods!

We’re in the middle of March and ice conditions remain excellent around Rocky Point.

Guides have been working the reefs and deeper points for walleye and sauger, with the occasional perch mixed in. Pink, red and wonderbread colors have been producing the best action. We’re seeing a lot of suspended fish, so electronics are extremely helpful for dialing in the bite and increasing your success.

We’re in full tilt pike fishing with tip-ups on the shoreline breaks in 10-14 feet of water. Several pike in the mid-30 inch range have been coming topside, along with the occasional 40+ inch trophy pike.

We have many groups doing one day fishing walleye, then pike fishing on the second day. It’s a great way to experience both bites. As we continue through March, the bite will only get better as the fish are on the feed bag before spawn starts.
