3/7/26 Fishing Report

Here’s our latest fishing report from Rocky Point guide Mason on beautiful Lake of the Woods!

As we roll into March, ice conditions remain excellent with 38–48 inches of solid ice in our fishing areas. Lake travel continues to be good, and we’re still using our track vans to keep everyone moving out there. We are fishing around 29-34 feet of water, with some houses in the shallows around 24 feet. We also have pike houses ready to go anywhere from 8-16 feet of water.Groups have been getting pike by hanging dead bait on quick-strike rigs about halfway through the water column. As far as the walleyes, they have been tight to the bottom. A mix of jigging and dead sticks have been working. Hammered gold flutter spoons tipped with minnow heads, as well as dirty bombs above pink or glow white jigs seem to be doing well. There is still plenty of good fishing to be had and plenty of season left! ~ Mason
