1/8/18 Fishing Report

Overall fishing has been very good around the Rocky Point area. We are fishing at 12 Mile Reef, Gull Rock Reef, Twin Islands, Clarence’s Reef and the mud flats. The mud flats have been especially productive the past week. We are fishing in 28-30′ of water. Fish size has been consistent from 15-18″ with lots of favorable saugers in the walleye catch. Slot fish have also been abundant for our guests. The Mlynar group from Eden Prairie each caught a 25” walleye during their visit, as well as lots of keepers. They said it was their best year for big fish in the 11 years fishing at Rocky Point. Our tackle shop is selling mostly gold, red and pink. Best of luck out there!
