2/23/24 Ice & Fishing Report

2/23/24 Fishing Report

Here’s your latest fishing report from Captain Charlie McCarthy on beautiful Lake of the Woods.

Ice conditions remain steady around Rocky Point and, on average, the ice is ranging from 20-24″ across the majority of the areas we are fishing. We are still using our light transportation equipment and will most likely be for the remainder of the season. Electronics are key at this time of the year. There has been a pretty good morning and evening bite, while mid-day can slow down. We’re still fishing deeper water at 29-30 ft. plus. For your jigging rod, raps and buckshots with a rattle are working well. Pike fishing is just around the corner, so we are gearing up for that. Good luck!
