9/19/19 Fishing Report

Here’s your latest fishing report courtesy of Lake of the Woods Tourism Bureau:

Overall, a strong walleye bite this week. Water temps are cooling off, migration has started and walleyes are putting on the feed bag for winter. Walleyes in good numbers along the south shore. Various schools of walleyes along the south shore holding to structure areas. Anglers having success trolling crankbaits, drifting spinners and anchored up and jigging. The fall jig bite is coming on strong.

Don’t forget to inquire about our Fall Getaway Special running through October 31, 2019. Guests receive 20% off lodging and charter boats. Must mention Fall Getaway Special at the time of booking.

Also, it’s not too late to book your ice fishing getaway! Our customers are comfortably transported to our heated fish houses with track vehicles that are equipped with positive floatation and global positioning systems.  Our experienced guides use the LakeMaster MCC GPS chip to position the fish houses on exactly the right spot. Arnesen’s Rocky Point is located next to a wide variety of bottom structure and the winter guides move the fish houses constantly to keep our customers on fish. Fish houses are heated with safe and convenient gas wall units with two holes available per person. With the fish houses, all the bait is included. You are responsible for your own tackle and poles. We also have sleeper fish houses for those that don’t want to leave the ice!

Perfectly situated on the south shore of Lake of the Woods, Rocky Point offers ice fishing, charter boats, and small boat fishing.
